Statement from Dan Sullivan CEO
Grand River Dam Authority
No announcements or emergency declarations have been made that would require any reduction of electricity delivery to any GRDA customer at this time.
GRDA is always mindful of maintaining grid stability and reliability. Out of an abundance of caution, GRDA reached out to its industrial and municipal customers in an effort to highlight the difficulties over the next several days related to extreme cold temperatures. During any time of extreme temperatures, hot or cold, conservation measures are taken to reduce peak demand in an effort to preserve system reliability. Extreme temperatures stress all utility delivery systems whether it is water, electric or natural gas.
GRDA has sufficient generation resources to meet the demands of its customers and does not independently make decisions related to curtailment of its delivery of electric power to its customers. However, preparation for severe weather is always a consideration and proper planning is key to maintaining system integrity and reliability.

What TPWA Does
Tahlequah Public Works Authority has been serving Tahlequah and the surrounding area since 1902 when it first opened as the Water Works plant. Many changes and additions have transpired since that time, but we have always been committed to providing our customers with the highest quality of service at the best possible price.
Our purpose is to provide, furnish, and supply to the City of Tahlequah and its surrounding area electrical, water, and sewer services, and to protect the health, safety, and general welfare of the public within our jurisdiction.
Since Tahlequah is one of the fastest growing areas in the state of Oklahoma it is critical that we as an entity continue to strive to meet the increased demand of our city and our customers.
